I joined Marketing Results as a Marketing Assistant in the summer of having just graduated from The University of Manchester with BA (Hons) Degree in Media and Business Management with Information Technology. If I’m honest, I had no clue as to what I wanted to do, but I needed to start somewhere and Marketing Results was (and still is) my somewhere.I’m now the Managing Director and after 25+ years I know the business inside out. I also know the strengths of the dedicated team and what we are capable of achieving which has proved invaluable. You can rest assured that we will never over promise and under deliver. The majority of the work undertaken by Marketing Results is direct mail fulfilment which is all carefully prepared by hand with keen attention to detail. We are happy to do mailings ranging in size from a couple of hundred up to about items, with most of our work being B2B. We love the smaller ‘fiddly’ tasks that some companies just won't touch. As well as direct mail we also send out literature and samples for clients, mostly as a result of enquiries from websites, advertising, exhibition attendance, etc. In this digital age some people still wish to receive hard copy brochures and samples. For a small company, Marketing Results has an impressive client base from sole traders to multinationals. I understand the needs of different businesses and combine this with a keen focus on customer service to deliver successful projects. Having worked with many of our clients for over 25 years, I often feel like a part of their team and have acquired knowledge of their businesses, products and services which helps when delivering a service for them.In 2012 we set up Birchwood Trading, a supplier to roof glazing materials. By this point I had already gained 13 years of product/industry knowledge and had the marketing know-how and business management skills to run with it. Year on year this company continues to grown and in 2020 we had our most successful year to date – despite the pandemic!I’m proud to have working for the same company for 25+ years. It has taken me from my first ‘proper job’ to simultaneously running two very different but harmonious businesses with a small but brilliant team who are like family. No two days are ever the same and I love the variety of work and people that I engage with.
