About Michelle Consul

I believe in leading with empathy and compassion, to leave an impactful impression on everyone I meet and/or work with. My kindness does not demonstrate a weakness, rather, it’s one of my greatest strengths: to be able to lead teams, connect with people at any level or station in life and build trust. I grow and learn through every interaction. I am inspired to always innovate and aspire to inspire. With a long work history in the field of Emergency Management and Continuity of Operations (15+ years), I took my strong partnership and stakeholder relations skill set and merged those with my event management skills and love of all things innovative and creative - to lead a team of incredible humans on a journey to enhance the employee experience as the Manager of the Engagement & Inclusion Unit for the Treasury Board Secretariat. From there, I’ve had the opportunity to stretch my learning and professional experience serving in two Deputy Minister's Offices (the Office of the Comptroller General, and for the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility). After a stint in senior executive offices, I then challenged myself to expand in a whole new direction and take on a new portfolio altogether as Senior Manager in the Office Realty Implementation Branch in the Office Optimization Division, Ministry of Infrastructure, specifically working with agencies. I am now currently the Senior Manager, Policy Alignment and Strategy Engagement, returning back to a familiar place in the Treasury Board Secretariat where I once again have the honour and pleasure of working with Deputy Minister, Carlene Alexander in her Deputy Minister's Office where I plan to continue my growth under wonderful leadership.
