About Michelle Cornutt

I am a results-driven leader that has held various roles of increasing responsibility during a 17-year career in the United States Air Force. Effective communicator who quickly masters new roles and technologies to achieve positive results. I have experience with mentoring, counseling and providing guidance to assigned military members within my current and past organizations. I am the focal point for professional education, recognition, urinalysis, family emergencies, quality of life issues and crisis intervention. I have recently interned with the HR department at Sacred Journey Hospice where I learned the philosophy of care. I observed multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams for palliative care services. I took part in various management meetings, organized data, and prepared training materials. I obtain much experience from the US Air National Guard in administrative support and earned a lead position and would like to integrate my experience into the healthcare field. I have managed and maintained internal office suspense by streamlining and reduced late reports by 75%. I was recognized by leadership for scheduling support staff on timely actions and management of the Chief of Operations Officer's programs. As a brief nursing student at Clayton State University, I successfully completed one semester in the nursing program before I changed over to healthcare management. I received 9 credit hours of clinical practice in Health Assessment and Health Illness Transitions. As a Medical Transcriber at Newnan Piedmont Emergency Department Hospital, I worked with physicians to overcome clinical inefficiencies, improved operations, recorded and documented patient visits and procedures. I transcribed over 300 results of patient and doctor consultations. I have over 17 years of successful management and leadership of Air Force experience with a background in infantry operations. I was a part of four tours of duty during my time in the military. I graduated college as an honor student/cum laude and I bring many skills with me.
