About Michelle Daniel

My BBC journey started properly when I became a staff member of 22nd January 1990 - but I'd started working weekend when I was just 15. 8th Jan 1996 started in Manchester as SBJ and joined BBC Radio Stoke 18 Sept 2017. After a significant and unexpected life change in 2020 I came home to Guernsey as Executive producer August 2021. Experienced presenter and producer Demonstrated record of identifying original journalism projects Track record in the development of staff and trainees I have built up a huge range of experiences during my many years with the BBC as a broadcast journalist - from my beginning as a reporter in the Channel Islands to my role as Assistant Editor. I am a competent broadcaster and interviewer in both a studio and outside broadcast environment. These are skills which have been invaluable in my role as I'm able to guide and coach both my on and off air team. I work closely with not only my own staff but with my colleagues in online, regional television and also with network newsgathering. I'm have also been mentor for both internally and externally sponsored trainees. Outside of work I’m a regular artisan market trader! The minifigure art is my way of switching off my radio brain - at least it would be if I didn’t have the radio on when I’m making them!
