About Michelle Davy

In May of 2013, I graduated Cum Laude from Keene State College in Keene, NH. I received my BA in Theatre/Dance, specializing in Dance Education; BA in English, and Writing minor. I have always had great interest in the humanities, and focusing on these two disciplines of Theater/Dance and English has made me even more passionate about literature and the arts. I started dancing ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, and jazz from 1995-2009 at Dance Step of Berlin, CT. I decided to go to KSC, and studied Modern Dance, Ballet, African dance, and Belly Dancing. I had two internships as well through the Dance Education Department teaching children aged 4-10 years old. I became a member of the KSC Ballroom Dance Club taught by Richard Clough from Keene Fusion Studios. I was the Treasurer in 2010, and President from 2010-2013. After graduation, I studied at La Bella Vita Arts Summer Dance Intensive for 6 weeks. In July 2013, I became a dance instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in both South Windsor, and West Springfield locations. My partner and I are now the proud owners of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of West Springfield, and are looking forward to sharing our love of dance with the community.
