About Michelle Dejesus

It has always been a dream of mine to start my own practice to best serve my kids in their natural environments. Through Neuplay Therapy, I have been able to utilize my passion for brain development, neurorehabilitation and family-oriented occupational therapy services to help my clients achieve their goals and more importantly- improve upon the family’s quality of life. With the experience of working in a nationally-recognized children’s hospital as well as providing early intervention services in the home, I have gathered tools, certifications, and experience that have allowed me to best serve children with a variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, genetic syndromes, developmental delays, and more. More importantly, I truly believe in building trust and connection with my families as the best intervention is that which empowers families with education and tools to maximize a child’s potential. We are in this together. Some Certifications I Hold- Child Brain Development & Early Intervention (Brain Story Certified)- iLS Certification for Focus Program (Music/multi-sensory intervention)- Certification in Integrating Primitive Reflexes for Optimal Function - Certification in Kinesiotaping for both pediatric and orthopedic applications I also have additional training in- Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) and modified CIMT -Neuroplasticity Techniques - Early Intervention/Pediatric Brain Development - Parent Coaching
