About Michelle Elberson

The majority of my experience has been in the educational space, most recently for Rider University Office of Information Technologies, but my skills easily translate to other industries as well! Supporting my CIO and senior leadership was a regular part of the routine, and I enjoyed taking on all new challenges that were presented to me. As part of our mission to make IT project work more transparent to the university, we took on the implementation of the Project Management module in TeamDynamix. This was my primary responsibility, and included other important facets such as: creation of the IT Project Intake Form process, developing a prioritization process via score carding, helping to develop the Projects splash page on the Rider.edu website, and liaising with the vCISO to insure that all vendors completed a security audit. Additionally, I had access to update the Technology pages on the university website according to feedback from senior leadership. To assist our Help Desk Manager, I tracked on student staff contracts and time sheets to maintain the IT student staff budget spreadsheet. I enjoyed my work for OIT at Rider University, and was looking forward to next-steps to expand on the IT Project portfolio process. It was unfortunate when the whole department was outsourced as a university cost-saving measure.
