About Michelle Evans

Michelle Evans is presently employed at Deltec Bank and Trust as a Project Manager in the Private Banking Division. Prior to her employment at Deltec Bank she had the responsibility at the Inter- American Development Bank for identification, design and execution of grant and loan programs at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group's for the past 10 years. Her career in development commenced as Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Education. Joining the IDB as a Research Consultant, she has since held the positions of Public and Private Sector Operations Analyst. Today she is a premier executive in development banking with experience in project identification, design, supervision, grant writing, and relationship management. Milestone accomplishments includes; leading the design and development of grant programs :Revitalization of the Sponging Industry, Empowerment of Fly Fishing Guides, Audubon Bird Watching, and identification and coordinating approval of corporate financing projects in the following sectors: services, medical and energy. Michelle is a supporter of SMEs and passionate about the development of Family Islands. Recently launching her consultancy " PMT Consulting Ltd" she provides Advisory Support for SMEs, Business Proposal Development and Strategic Planning. With experience in project financing, procurement and project management, and qualifications in shipping and Trust Administration her background is diverse. Michelle has a track record in enhancing cross-sectional relationships with multilateral and private donors, government agencies, universities, private sector organizations, civil society, community groups and NGO’s in The Bahamas and Caribbean Region. She has worked closely on projects with the World Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, Inter-American Institute of Corporation for Agriculture and with several countries in the region. Michelle earned her Bachelors Degree in History, Management and Sociology with concentration in criminology at the University of the West Indies Mona, Jamaica. She also has qualifications in Computer Science, Trust Administration and Crypto currency.
