About Michelle Goderwis

Hello! I am a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Louisville with degrees in Economics and Sustainability. In my undergraduate career, I became passionate about environmental law and policy as a means to positive change, particularly in local food systems. I maintained that passion through my coursework, undergraduate research in State-Reinforced Self-Governance (SRSG), and volunteer leadership on campus and in the community. In December 2024, I graduated from the ABA-Approved Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Program at the University of Cincinnati. Through the eight-month online coursework, I became proficient in dissecting case law and utilizing law office technology, all the while gaining an understanding of how the legal system plays a role in creating more resilient systems in the Anthropocene. While finishing my degree at UC, I started a full-time role as the Dispatch Operations Manager at Last Mile Food Rescue. Since that date in October 2024, I have had the privilege of working closely with food donors and committed nonprofit partners in the Greater Cincinnati area to fight both food waste and food insecurity. I look forward to continuing to grow my skills in leadership and make an impact through intentional learning.
