About Michelle Hamilton

I have been a General Education Teacher for 16 years. I have taught the following grades; Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a Multiple Subject Credridental. I am in the process of completing a Master of Education in Literacy. I am GLAD certified and trained in Writer's Workshop. I have sat on a Student Success Team committee, where we analyzed students that were in the process of receiving intervention from the general education teacher and would possibly need to be assessed for an Individual Education Plan. I sat on the Standards Committee to power and prioritize standards for my current district then went on to be on the Report Card committee to develop a standards-based report card for my current school district. I sat on the Leadership Team for my grade level for five years and helped create the Scope and Sequence for our site's writing program. I am currently the President of the PTA for my school site and sit on the School Site Council. I currently live in Turlock, Ca with my husband of 15 years and our three wonderful children. We love spending time riding bikes and playing outdoors when the weather is nice.
