About Michelle Harris

In today’s fast-paced tech world, I find joy in mixing together technology and human connection. With over five years of experience under my belt as an IT professional, I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that not only improve processes but also enhance the way teams collaborate and engage with one another. My journey has taken me from organizing virtual onboarding sessions for new hires at Ford Motor Company to coordinating game day logistics for over fans at Detroit Pistons events. One of my proudest achievements was leading a team to revamp our IT onboarding program at Ford for college graduates. We transformed the experience for over 200 new employees each year by including engaging activities that improved their connection to our company culture—resulting in a remarkable 62% boost in engagement! This experience taught me that a well-planned process can make all the difference when it comes to welcoming new talent into an organization. I’ve also had the chance to play a significant role in planning IT town halls for more than employees. By collaborating closely with AV teams and executive leadership, we achieved a solid 30% increase in audience engagement through enhanced presentation quality. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how effective communication can foster a sense of community within such a large organization. My foundation was built during my time as a project manager intern for the City of Memphis, where I learned how to create and manage project plans to track progress and ensure quality. I also was able to work with the data center and IT help services to learn how to make operations run smoothly and improve service. Outside of work, I enjoy attending professional sporting events, playing with my dog Bean, and spending time with friends and family. These activities help me stay energized and connected with what matters most.
