About Michelle Hummel

Hi, I’m Michelle Hummel, CEO of the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce. With over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and community development, I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections and driving economic growth for our region. I consider it an honor to lead the Chamber, where I work alongside an incredible team to support local businesses, launch innovative programs, and strengthen the fabric of our community. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is watching our members grow from small startups to thriving enterprises and knowing the Chamber played a part in their journey. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of two teenage boys, a biking enthusiast, and a photography hobbyist. I’m also actively involved in a number of service roles, including serving as President-Elect of my Rotary Club, a Leadership Committee Member for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an Advisory Board Member for the Appoquinimink School district, and an Honorary Commander for the Delaware National Guard. Every day, I strive to lead with authenticity, energy, and a deep sense of purpose. I believe in the power of community and in lifting others up as we grow forward together.
