About Michelle Karas

I'm an experienced media professional seeking a new opportunity in the communications / marketing / journalism space in the Denver Metro Area that's in-person, hybrid, or fully remote. Currently, I'm working for a nonprofit that provides leadership development opportunities for women in higher education. However, my move to this organization was motivated mainly by the chance to pursue a master's degree via a tuition benefit, that has since been discontinued. I have an extensive community journalism background, which helped me to hone the following skills: writing, editing, reporting, headline writing, curating content, interviewing, copy editing, page design, social media engagement, ideating and producing special sections, and website management.
