About Michelle Kennedy

I am an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about co-creating improvement initiatives with all members of the healthcare team, including patients and their support networks. I recognize the absolute necessity for psychological safety in care environments and strive to constantly improve culture as a Health System Improvement Leader with Health Quality BC. I have formal quality improvement methodology training from Quality Academy hosted by HQBC and I have completed a Master's in Health Leadership and Policy at UBC. With recent experiences as a frontline nurse in acute care, leadership in tertiary care centres, and now as a leader of multiple provincial initiatives in substance use care, I bring understanding and empathy to all of the work I do. When I'm not at work you'll find me spending time with friends at various fitness classes or working on one of (too) many craft projects!
