Michelle Kitchen is the CEO of the BC Sports Hall of Fame, a not-for-profit organization that celebrates extraordinary achievement in BC sport history and inspires future generations to make their dreams come true. Michelle also serves on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations: Dress for Success, an organization that provides career development and a network of support to empower women to reach their full potential and achieve economic independence; and the Jericho Tennis Club, a premier racquets, fitness and social club serving its membership. Having been an Executive Business and Marketing leader with 25 years experience, Michelle has championed and advised global and national brands and has a reputation for achieving business and brand success through strategically creative and innovative ideas. Michelle’s experience includes serving as COO for Sparkit Media Inc, the first technology platform using crowdsourcing and non-branded content to revolutionize Influencer Marketing. Previously as the Executive Vice President, Managing Director at global advertising agency DDB Canada, Michelle was responsible for the agency’s vision, culture, strategic plan and profitability. As part of the NA Executive Leadership team, her role included driving growth and innovation for the agency. Michelle provided Executive leadership for global client assignments and implemented global service models and partnerships. She was at the forefront of transforming DDB’s approach to new business development and evolving the agency's business and brand model. Michelle led the creation of DDB Ignite, an innovative equity-based brand accelerator program developing strategies for emerging entrepreneurs and operationalizing start-up companies. Michelle has held business and client services leadership roles at leading advertising and marketing agencies with experience spanning across an array of sectors including automotive, consumer packaged goods, education, entertainment, financial services, gaming, retail, technology, telecommunications, and travel & tourism.
