About Michelle Kopp

I started to love code the first time I opened the visual basic console in Excel and started playing around. You could make anything with the right knowledge and time and I built so many bizarre and useful interfaces almost right away. It was magic. Since then I have dramatically expanded in my programming interests. I'm very comfortable with C# and Laravel. I have been working on developing new web apps - getting into React and NodeJS - I'm excited about what's possible with JavaScript right now. I've dipped my toe into Flutter development for Native applications as well, and there's just more excitement no matter how far down the rabbit hole you go. But my love of VB that started with Excel has only expanded over the years - I've been a developer for my company using the Ellie Mae/ICE mortgage software Encompass to create solutions to almost any problem we've faced. There's always more room for improvement and efficiency, and the right eye for helping stakeholders find those solutions has been my biggest asset. I'm always eager to help build the next great thing in our system. I've just started the management side of my career, but I love being able to support and help my team grow. Especially if it means I get to help more people get involved in code and share what I love to do with them!
