About Michelle Mathurin

Communications Specialist with over 20 year's of management experience at Deloitte with a focus on communications, stakeholder engagement, change management, International collaboration, and project management. I am passionate about communications and the role it plays in today’s global environment. I am skilled in building communication strategies and working with various stakeholders to roll it out across multiple countries; I go over and beyond to make a difference by empowering stakeholders with tools and knowledge to adapt global strategies for their specific local needs. I have strong comprehension of stakeholder management focusing on strategic communications across all channels including digital, change management communications, and brand, campaign and event management. As Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement lead in Global Client Contracting (GCC), my focus was to build and maintain trust across a network of member firms with competing and divergent interests. GCC is responsible for facilitating the negotiation of complex global contracts with our largest and most important clients. Every single contract which is successfully negotiated has an impact on revenue, often over $50 million, and sometimes as high as $200 million. My role focuses on bringing different parts of the organisation together to speak with one voice when talking to clients to enable business teams and accounts to serve clients successfully. Three critical drivers for me to be a successful and effective leader are working in a diverse team, walking in the shoes of stakeholders to understand the 'what's in it for them' before engaging with them and working within a strong accountability framework. I am a people and culture nerd and I love travel, food, dance, music and running. Being part of a community and contributing to it is important to me and I do that by mentoring in schools and helping young people succeed.
