About Michelle McCartney

I am a with my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who practices in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Dell Children's Hospital. I have worked as an inpatient pediatric nurse practitioner as well as worked as an APRN in primary care. I enjoy developing methodologies and processes that improve patient care and create an environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and collaboration. I also enjoy contributing and presenting on research performed in conjunction with patient care. I am passionate about my patients and healthcare. I have over six years of nursing experience in areas including Medical/Surgical, Oncology, high risk OB, Nursery and Neonatal ICU. I also have a Community Health Education BS from Texas A&M University, College Station. I enjoy incorporating my community health background into my APRN practice. I believe that the logical next step in my career is to work for an organization, with a wide array of opportunities that will broaden my practice and to engage in continued learning opportunities.
