About Michelle Olson

I represent employers in a wide variety of employment and human resources-related matters, including medical and pregnancy leaves of absence and accommodation requests, effective employee discipline and discharge, workforce reductions, remote work and wage and hour violations. My goal is to help employers identify and mitigate legal risks while obtaining their business objectives. I regularly draft and negotiate employment, confidentiality, separation and settlement agreements, and I provide clients with comprehensive employment-related trainings and policies. I manage sensitive internal investigations, helping employers navigate complaints of harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation. I represent employers in federal court, arbitral forums and administrative agencies, and I regularly counsel clients on litigation avoidance strategies. I serve as the labor and employment expert in mergers and acquisitions, conducting thorough due diligence reviews and identifying legal risks. I also co-chair the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, and I have worked diligently to expand the firm’s pro bono efforts, increasing the number of pro bono hours worked at the firm by nearly 40% in the first three years.
