About Michelle Rivers

I have a diverse range of professional experience, from which I have assembled a substantial toolbox. I am now a Ford Opportunity Scholar pursuing a my bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences, with an interest in conservation ecology and wildlife rehabilitation. I'm looking for more experience working with animals in the field to build foundational skills. I've worked in foodservice for a total of 10 years, mastering both front and back of house, fine-tuning my ability to multitask, communicate, and perform under pressure. I've also spent considerable time in the office and in the classroom with children, building extensive technical and soft skills in those arenas. All of my work has required me to be detail-oriented and efficient. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, studying and practicing herbalism, and spending time with my child and my cats.
