About Michelle Runke

I have been a nurse for nine years. Graduated from Indian Capital Technical Institute with certificate in License Practical Nursing, and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University. I am currently enrolled at Western Governors University Master of Nursing Program with another year till completion. I currently work at an acute care hospital in Northwest Arkansas in the Medical Surgical Department. I have been with Washington Regional Medical Center since 2016. I have worked as a Bedside Nurse, Preceptor, Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Orthopedic Program Coordinator and Interim Manager. I have experience in Chemotherapy Administration, BLS/ACLS, Palliative Care Champion, Phlebotomy, Mental Health First Aide, Genetic, Genomics and Genethics in Nursing and Education. My career goal is to become a Nurse Manager with areas of interest in Hospice, Medical Surgical and Orthopedics. Upon completion of my Master Degree I will be working on getting certifications in Medical Surgical and Orthopedics along with other types of certifications. I am a warm, compassionate, caring and empathetic person. I believe in being a patient advocate and a good listener. I believe in being part of a team and show respect and professionalism to everyone involved in that team. I can be a good problem solver and act in a professional manner when situations arise. These things make a more joyful work environment.
