About Michelle Scott

Over 25 yrs experience in the Disability field. Spent first 15 yrs in Disability Case Management, QA and Appeals before getting a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling and spending the next 10 + yrs as a License Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor/Consultant. I did 2 yrs with the FL State Vocational Rehabilitation dept to acquire more skills and experience in my change in career before going back into the private sector. I have 2 yrs of experience working as an ADA Specialist with Matrix Absence Management before transitioning into the role as a RTW Coordinator for STD claims and now I'm a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist for LTD claims. I perform forensic duties to assist the claims department such as Transferable Skills Analysis, Own Occupation Reviews etc, in addition to assisting claimants with returning to work. I believe I have a well-rounded and plentiful experience and knowledge of all aspects of disability management and vocational counseling that gives me a lot of insight and abilities to be successful in helping people get back to work.
