About Michelle Simms

As a professional educator, systems thinker, project manager, and life-long learner, I have built subject matter expertise in seemingly unrelated disciplines in science and the arts - education, geospatial technology, filmmaking, creative & technical writing, and physical geography - and love finding ways to integrate them to build something new. This cognitive flexibility means that I can quickly consume, adapt, and produce strategies for both teaching and learning in a variety of contexts and media. These abilities are further expressed in my honed skills of team and project leadership and management as well as skill in team building and participation. I find fulfillment whether serving as a team leader or a team member because life is a story created by daily moments. What we do in those moments can change the bigger world by changing the smaller world in which we live.
