About Michelle Stanton

Currently, I am a 6th-year teacher, teaching 6th Grade Science at Parkland School in McHenry. In 2017, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education at Illinois State University. In November of 2023, I received my M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction through the American College of Education. My lifelong passion has always been to work with kids and inspire them to be lifelong, 21st century learners. I am truly honored to be back in D15, the school district that inspired me to become an educator when I was a young student. As an educator, I am extremely dedicated to the people and programs that I involve myself with. In addition to my teaching duties, I am Parkland's Teacher Representative for the District 15 Strategic Planning Team. I am also the advisor for both Builders Club and Science Club at Parkland. Additionally, I am the 7th Grade Girls Volleyball Coach. At my previous school, I was the teacher liaison for The Enchanted Backpack program. I am currently wrapping up my Graduate Program at American College of Education and am pursuing my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Digital Learning. My completion date is November 5th, 2023. I am always seeking new ways to be involved and I regularly attend school and district-wide events to support D15 students. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends, and 2 dogs. I also love to travel and explore new cities, MLB stadiums, and National Parks!
