About Michelle Stevens

I have extensive knowledge and experience within the support sector. Since the pandemic I studied numerous courses at home within health and social care. Worked for an agency to gain knowledge and experience within education which led to working with pupils displaying ALN. This was with Autistic children and young persons along with behavioural problems initially. From here I progressed to a Pupil Referral Unit and worked 1:1 with a child who had adverse childhood experiences and suffered with mental health and behavioural issues. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and registered with the EWI. I have recently commenced work within a domestic violence/ abuse charity delivering the ACEs programme to children and adults. I also carry out some shifts as a CYP Worker. This entails going into schools and having 1:1 sessions with children that have been effected by some form of trauma in their lives. I have recently finished a Drawing and Talking Course and qualified as a Drawing and Talking Practitioner. Prior to the above, I have been a Human Resources Professional with over several years of progressive experience including staffing, onboarding, payroll processing, Customer Service and benefits. I am an effective communicator; skilled at building strong working relationships in a diverse and demanding work environment. Proficient at organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines under pressure. Experienced in providing leadership and guidance in the areas of human resources, human resource management, employment law, labor relations, and employee engagement programs to support organisational growth.
