Background

About Michelle Templeton

I believe that service, diverse perspectives and connection are key to meaningful change and that environmental sustainability is an action-oriented mindset of service to our natural systems and society rooted in respect and equity. Over the past 20 years I have worked across public and non-profit sectors to build platforms, programs and policies that advance sustainability and climate action and expand opportunity for diverse engagement in the environmental sustainability dialog. This is critical as we move into the challenges of our future, together. Additionally, I am driven by workplace culture and dynamics that reward collaborative thought and I feel strongly that our connection with others expands our creativity, bravery and innovation in whatever we do!And of course, balance is critical to staying engaged and passionate about work. I find balance through time in nature, building edible landscapes, and learning how to be a better grown up for my children.Skills/Strengths:Program development, implementation, and evaluation Strong verbal and written communicationStrategic planning Leadership, management, mentoring, coaching, conflict resolution, facilitationBi-cultural/Spanish bilingualExhibit and signage designOutreach strategy development and implementationDiversity and Inclusion principles at the core of program development/management practicesStaff/docent/volunteer training program development and implementationExcellent project managementPolicy developmentProcess improvement Microsoft Office and Google Suites
