About Michelle Vine

I bridge the worlds between art, wellbeing and mental health as an exhibiting artist-researcher, educator and multidisciplinary professional, forging a unique career path which has been recognised as critically significant at a national and international level. I am a creative professional with experience in academic, business, health, and community disability settings. In my current academic position I use my applied and theoretical knowledge to facilitate creative and performing arts students’ STEMM literacies to empower and strengthen their employability and self-efficacy in health and wellbeing. Recently appointed as the inaugural Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Coordinator at the Queensland College of Art, I am also the Deputy Chair and an elected Artist Representative Director on the National Visual Artist’s Association (NAVA) Board. I am the Director and co-founder of Here Space, an inclusive Brisbane based art organisation providing artist studios and an art space. I am a change-maker for access and inclusion in the arts who has lived experience of disability, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.
