About Michelle Wallace

I manage every aspects of Enviromental and Occupational Health and Safety. I have experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Marine engineering, and presently in food production. I started in Civil and Ground Works engineering in Sept 2021. In the following six months, I earned a certificate in Environmental Health and Safety. While working full-time in a Mechanical and Electrical engineering company, I progressed in my studies and Qualified with a QQI level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Travelling to and carrying out audits on various sites around connaught, reviewing RAMS, attending management meetings, discussing updates and further improvements following audits would be all part of my role. Tools box talks, training matrix and updating employees training are all covered in my position as an advisor. I have worked with numerous large contractors including JJ Rattigan, Connack construction, Boyle Construction and Cunningham Civil & Marine. As an experienced rigid truck driver in a large quarry, this had expanded my knowledge and awareness of health and safety even further. To date, my qualifications include Diploma in Environmental Health and Safety, Certificate in Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency MedicalTechnician, Manual Handling Instructor, First Aid Instructor. My responsibilities in each sector, involves applying a positive H&S culture, while implementing policies, processes, and guidelines to ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements and obligations. Other duties include emergency drill operations, ensuring all GA1, GA2 and GA3 equipment are fully certified and updated. Providing expert advice on use of PPE. As a result of being IT proficient, I posess the skills and knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint point. My previous experience as a frontline ambulance technician for 9 years has truly shaped and strengthened me as an individual. I have learned to multi task under extreme pressure. I have learned to take control of situations and de-esculate many situations. my position in the ambulance has often thrown me in almost impossible situations, which I have always succeeded to bring myself and my client through successfully.
