About Michelle Young

Over the last 15 years I have worked in a variety of roles, within customer service, administration, quality assurance, sales, reception and retail. I recently left the office job life to complete my chef apprenticeship. I have since realised that unfortunately the chef life is not for me due to the long sporadic hours and made the descision to go back into the office world. Planning to go back into administrative work, I started looking into roles within the accounts sector in order to expaned my skills and knowledge. I was fortunate enough to be offered a position as an Accounts Officer part time with Farm Foods Australia. Due to the part time nature of the role, it allowed me the additional time I needed to persue my studies further. After some research and careful consideration I decided to enrol in the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping through RMIT as it is relevant to my job and also one of the governments free courses,(which is an added bonus). The more I have been studying Accounting the more fascinated and intrigued by it I am becoming and the more I want to learn.
