About Michelle Young

While pursuing my Masters in Business Administration I was fortunate to work at a car dealership that allowed me to work in a number of areas. I discovered my passion for digital marketing and optimizing our customers online experience which help make our dealership the amoung the top 3 internet leaders in the region for the 2 years I held that role. One of my favorite courses at ISU was New Product Development. It sparked my curiosity and upon graduation I began looking for roles which would allow me to follow my newly discovered product development passion. I accepted a role as a Business Analyst and started my professional career in Software Development. The projects I worked on allowed me to quickly gain an understanding of how applications worked and how different systems communicate. I had the opportunity to see concepts and ideas transformed into systems that were used everyday. I naturally gravitated towards the system users. I wanted to learn more about them and find new ways that the systems could enhance the employee and customer experience. The project I was the most proud of was working with a team building online customer portals. Everyday presented an opportunity to combined my passion for Product Development, Digital, Sales and Marketing, and Customer Experiece. I was notified of an opportunity that had opened for a Product Owner at a large local credit union. Each day I make a difference doing what I love: driving product improvements that optimize value and deliver exceptional experiences.
