Highly motivated and dedicated structural designer with thirty years of experience in detail design, drafting and modelling of Structural, Civil, Mechanical and Architectural project work for both greenfield and brownfield sites. Specialising in 3D modelling software such as PDMS and Smartplant S3D to produce fully clash checked and integrated deliverable packages, with data centric deliverables and reports. Offshore projects include Wellhead, Utility, Process and Living quarters topsides, jackets, FPSO & Semi-submersibles, including revisions and updates to existing structures. Onshore projects include facilities such as refineries, processing plants, LNG trains, concrete batching plants, conveyor design and rail infrastructure. Lead and area lead designer roles where I have been responsible for the co-ordination of the design and detailing of large Offshore and Onshore Projects offices using 2D & 3D CAD modelling software I have been heavily involved in the development of the Smartplant S3D package to corporate standards ready for project roll out. This includes developing view, dimension and label styles and producing guidelines and training material such as videos and PowerPoint presentations to assist new designers. Currently I am the Lead CSA Designer for the Fujairah FEED LNG project. My role includes the planning of designer workloads, implementation of the correct Aveva E3D tools and processes as well as monthly progress reporting. I am also providing S3D modelling and drafting support for the Tilenga oil processing project, helping the design team with complex modelling and drafting solutions. Previously I was the Lead designer on the Mozambique LNG project. I developed modelling and draughting guidelines for the McDermott designers, which expanded on the CCSJV guideline to encompass the S3D processes used by McD compared to the use of Tekla by Saipem.
