About Mick Raskin

As early as I can remember I have had a strong passion and desire to hear music. I was amazed by the simple effects of panning, filters, and sampling in songs and always wanted to learn how to create that sensation myself for others to experience. My desire to learn more was achieved when I studied the science of Audio Production at the Art Institute of California and I realized my dream has always been to work with sound. As soon as I graduated I wanted to provide my talents to the world and took on the challenge of live sound. I love the feeling of allowing the talent to work at ease while I mix and correct any issue that may occur without ever even hindering the performance. Live sound has taught me how to keep a level head under intense situations and now I can prevent issues before they ever arise. My experience in live events has translated well for me now in a studio environment because I am able to troubleshoot quicker than most as well as give myself more time now to mix and edit especially because I am not working a live event. I strive to make sure that anyone I work with or for can see my passion and be inspired to provide an even better performance themselves.
