With 36 years experience in the rail industry, I am currently employed as a Rail Teacher for SkillsTech TAFE. Acacia Ridge, Qld. Teaching Rail Infrastructure at a Cert II level. With a fantastic set up at the Rail Training Centre at Acacia Ridge, it makes teaching and training a pleasure. Previously employed as Assistant Cement Operator, Truck Driver / RoadTrain operator and Rig work, Cementing – with Halliburton, Roma, working on Rigs throughout the Surat Basin on sites operated by Savanna, Atlas, Ensign, Weatherford, Spalding and Saxon Rigs. Prior to this, was a Construction Safety Officer and Trainer / Assessor with Qld Railways Major Rail Projects and Aurizon (previously QRNational) Major Rail Projects throughout Queensland. Previous to this, I was employed with Qld Rail as a Team Leader/Act Supervisor with Major Team Resleepering, operating a range of track machines and a variety of light to heavy vehicles. My daily job included renewing rail, track components and sections of railway track throughout Queensland. • Qualified Construction Safety Officer – Diploma OHS Work Health and Safety Qld.
