Mick now manages a large team of Technical Architects, Consultants and Specialist Designers who work out of the Newcastle Design Studio as part of BT Global's Cloud Applications team. His team provides solution design, consultancy and integration activities for Contact Centre Solutions (Genesys, Avaya, Teams etc) using public and private cloud platforms. As well as retaining his customer engagement perspective, Mick's role is to promote the adoption of Continuous Improvement practices for his UK North team and he acts as an improvement coach to the global technical (Genesys) tower that he sits in. He has previously worked as a Lead Technical Design Authority, Service, Infrastructure and Solution delivery Architect in BT but now has undertaken a unit manager role within BT Global's Team. His most recent delivery role has seen him deliver IAG's new Genesys Contact centre. Prior to that he was completely responsible for the delivery of £4M compute transformation for Europe's biggest contact centre (for Dept of Work & Pensions). That delivery required him to manage the transition of over 30K user accounts onto a new IT (Private Cloud) that he had designed, costed, installed, configured and then delivered into service with 90 days of original contract signature. Prior to that he was the Transformation lead for a bespoke virtual server farm for a Home Office programme. Before that, he delivered a virtualisation programme within the Technology Refresh of BT's Land & Property Services programme in Northern Ireland. Mick’s professional accreditation's include several professional certifications including the BQF Lean Practitioner certificate and the ISEB diplomas in Business Analysis and Systems Modelling.
