About Mickey McCabe
The Ohio University Russ Research Center, located in the Greater Dayton area, is focused on creating partnerships with business, industry, Air Force S&T organizations and universities in the Dayton region. Our goal is to collaboratively develop technology, educate the workforce, create economic development through technology, and contribute to our nation's defense. On a more personal note, I have spent most of my career in R&D leadership roles at corporations and universities. This includes a focus on turning technology into something useful to create technology-based economic development. My technical background is in composite materials and reinforcing fibers for aerospace, automotive, marine and sporting goods applications. I benefit from work experience at both suppliers of carbon fibers and pre-impregnated forms of composite materials, as well as at an end user (GE Aviation) of these materials to produce aerospace components and parts.
