About Mickey Ronan

With over 23 years of non-profit and government leadership in strategic planning, training, and early childhood education, I am an authentic and innovative leader who has collaborated with non-profit and government agencies to create opportunities and improve the lives of low income children and families. In my current role, I actively create and develop training programs, including a Head Start Academy that has provided unprecedented leadership training for New York City Head Start Directors (new and veteran). I helped develop and implement “implicit bias” workshops for over two thousand New York City early childhood teachers. In my prior role at the Administration for Children Services (ACS), I developed protocols and systems that significantly improved the performance of Head Start, Childcare, and Family Childcare facilities in New York City, earning numerous “perfect” federal reviews. I was also notably part of a transition team that moved over 125 ACS staff members, and the Head Start contract, to the Department of Education, over a two-year period.
