About Miguel Barroso

Joined Arthur Andersen (Deloitte nowadys) in the audit and consultancy division sin september 1995 and became a Partner of the Firm in 2009. Nowadays, he is the Partner responsible for the office of the Firm in A Coruña. Has a wide professional experience both in audit and in consulting, both strategic and of processes. In the audit field, he has expertise in sector such as distrubution, Healthcare, Consumer Business, Textile, Non Profit Entities, Financial Service Sector, Minning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Services, Construction and Real State. Graduated in Economics and Business Studies from Universidad de Oviedo, having partly pursued his degree at the University of Glamorgan (United Kingdom). Member of the Institute for Auditors and Accounts (ICJCE) and Spanish Official Auditors’ Register (ROAC). As a consultant he has led projects such as: • Diagnosis of the economic-financial situation of different companies. • Advisory services to big corporations on the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Feasibility analysis of projects, and companies and analysis of financial projections. • Operational and management audit. • Analysis of measures to improve internal control. He has attended in an ongoing basis courses and seminars related to its areas of specialization. Likewise, since joining Deloitte, he has received over hours of training in learning centres of Segovia, Madrid and Chicago specifically designed for the development of projects in which he is specialized. Similarly, he has participated as lecturer in several training courses, both internal and external, related to audit, consulting and International Accounting Standards in Madrid, Asturias, Segovia, Los Angeles and Chicago. Writes articles for specialised magazines and economic newspapers on a regular basis.
