About Miguel Chacon

Miguel, a seasoned real estate expert with over 15 years of experience, is deeply rooted in Chicago's real estate landscape. A University of Illinois at Chicago graduate with a focus on urban political science and urban studies. He has studied at the London School of Economics in conjunction with the London Planning Agency, where his research focused on the financial impact of the 2012 Olympics for the Boroughs of London. Miguel’s devotion to the dynamics of real estate keeps him at the forefront of trends and education. He attended UIC’s Liautaud Graduate School of Business where he studied the principles of Urban Real Estate and Land Economics. He is a recipient of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Riordan Scholarship and a graduate of the ICSC’s Real Estate Associate Program (REAP). Miguel attended the University of Southern California’s (USC) Ross Program in Commercial Real Estate whose mission is to provide an executive level education in real estate finance and development to entrepreneurs. Lastly, Miguel has concluded all the course work required for his CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member); one that fewer than 1% of all real estate brokers nationally currently hold. He has honed his skills in residential and investment sales, landlord and tenant representation. Miguel's keen eye for market trends and ability to see opportunities where others see challenges has led him to successfully reposition investment properties for maximum value. He owns and develops a portfolio of investment properties in Chicago, focusing on emerging communities. As a broker, Miguel represents both seasoned and emerging multi-family investors throughout Chicago and suburbs. As an active community member, he chairs the Latino Real Estate Investors Council,(LREIC) advocating for minority property owners and providing education to help communities thrive. He serves as the Chicago Director for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), REAP Program whose mission is to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the commercial real estate industry. He is an active board member of the Neighborhood Building Owners Alliance and the NBOA’s Political Action Committee. His expertise is recognized nationally, as seen in his appearances on both national and local newscasts on "Fox & Friends", ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN and in publications such as the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. Passionate about architecture and design, Miguel shares his love for the city's architectural beauty with his three children and wife.
