About Mihai Pitea

Started off in the Automotive industry, writing Assembler and Embedded C code for microcontrollers used in car access control key fobs. A few years later I changed cities and industries and started writing C++ and then C code for the Telecommunications industry. I have consistently contributed to and am currently leading the technical evolution of the Enea Netbricks portfolio, which is made up of more than 20 different telecommunications protocol stacks. More recently I took on the additional challenge of managing the Protocol Plugins Romania team, a key contributor to the development of the Enea Qosmos suite of products. Enea Qosmos technology is the de facto industry standard for embedded Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and Traffic Intelligence in cybersecurity and networking. In addition to team management I have know-how and experience related to data and voice telecom technologies - SIP & SDP protocols, RTP, RTSP, ISDN related protocols (Q.931, QSIG, LAPD, LAPB, etc.), SS7 and SIGTRAN protocol stacks, Fax related protocols (T.30, T.4, T.6, T.38, Fax pass-through, etc.), High Availability solutions, PBXs, Voicemail services, Emergency Call services, API development, WebSockets etc- and to both Warterfall and Agile (Scrum) software development models. The tools and control systems I've most recently used include (chronologically going backwards) JIRA, Git, Jenkins, SVN, Crucible, Confluence, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Synergy.
