Hi there! My name is Mika. I'm a newly licensed RN completing my MS in Advanced Population Health Nursing while pursuing a career in population health, inpatient, and emergency care settings. My strengths include strong clinical competencies, a background in physiology from my first Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, and established strengths in leadership, interpersonal communication, and attention to detail from a near decade-long career in sustainable manufacturing, restaurant management, and educational conference planning. My nursing accomplishments thus far include- clinical hours in the inpatient setting - BS in Nursing earned while maintaining a 4.0 GPA through UH Manoa's 12-month intensive Graduate Entry Program in Nursing - Recipient of the 'Professional Nurse Award' for outstanding clinical competencies, academic achievement, and service to the school - Induction into the Sigma International Honor Society of Nursing for exceptional academic achievement - Awarded with 'Best Abstract - Graduate Master of Science in Nursing' at the 2025 Nursing & Dental Hygiene Research & Scholarship Poster Festival for my project titled,"Aligning Health Education with the Ethical Implications of Emerging Health Technologies: A Systematic Review."
