About Mikael Andersson

For over two decades, I have worked and led teams within the Department of Labour Market and Social Services in Malmö, Sweden, dedicated to creating sustainable and effective solutions to prevent recidivism. My leadership blends existentialist principles with interagency collaboration, building bridges between public authorities and empowering teams to make a real difference for both staff and clients. My philosophy is simple yet powerful: the better I care for my staff, the better they care for our clients. I lead with presence, courage to show vulnerability, and a strong commitment to growth — both personal and organizational. By welcoming new ideas and providing continuous feedback, I foster a culture where people and organizations thrive together. In addition to my leadership role, I am also a certified yoga instructor and passionate about humanitarian work, which gives me a unique perspective on balance, compassion, and global responsibility. I am seeking leadership positions in Malmö or abroad where I can contribute my experience, energy, and deep belief in every individual’s potential to change their life path.
