About Mikaela Meyer
As of September 2023, I will be participating in MITRE's National Security Accelerator Program (NSAP) as a Data Scientist and Analytics Engineer. I'm looking forward to starting my career at the intersection of statistics, computing, and public policy, and I'm especially excited to begin working for MITRE. I recently received my PhD from Carnegie Mellon University's joint Statistics and Public Policy program. My research interests in graduate school included racial disparities in policing, validating risk assessment instruments, and broadly applying statistics to answer questions in the criminal legal system. However, I'm also broadly interested in applying statistics to other policy areas as well.
