About Mikayla Gregory

I'm a CS + mathematics student at WashU with a strong interest in using technology to solve real-world problems, especially in healthcare and cybersecurity. Whether I’m developing tools to improve patient outcomes, researching how life experiences influence chronic pain, or strengthening internal systems against security risks, I’m drawn to work that combines technical depth with real impact. I enjoy diving into complex challenges, finding patterns, and building solutions that are both thoughtful and reliable. Aside from technical work, I care deeply about equity, mentorship, and community. I have led efforts to support underrepresented students in STEM, mentored peers through academic and professional transitions, and organized programs that make career development more inclusive and accessible. These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership by teaching me to stay grounded in empathy, think strategically, and keep purpose at the center of what I do. I’m excited by opportunities that push me to think critically and grow intentionally.
