About Mikayla Lander

Little bit about me: With my eclectic background, I have 5+ years of retail, sales, brand management, hospitality, and customer service. I have 3+ years of office management, and talent recruitment and training. I am interested in a career that could potentially allow me to travel and network with many different people. I thrive in think-tank/idea generating positive environment with a collaborative and involved team. What I enjoy: Talent acquisition, team building, customer problem management/resolution, visual merchandising (store standards, brand management, retail floor sets, Inventory), design/storytelling, organizing, bringing a positive attitude to create an environment where creative thinking can blossom. Leading others to a success. I love working with a team or self-starting standards, whatever provokes inspiration and action. What I have gained from real world experience: Communication really is key in any business (or personal) relationship. When it comes to merchandising, what story the product is telling is equally as important as what the product does. It's important to remember that every successful person still feels like they have bad days: so don't you quit. I am currently pursuing a A.A.S. in Interior Design through Cape Fear Community College with an on track graduation in May 2025.
