About Mike Aamold

When I started working as a Industrial Electrician 27 years ago now after 10 years in masonry, it has been a wonderful journey. The first main work I did was conveyor control systems for Dell Computer and was a sponge to learn and I learned fast and became efficient at it. After I left the first company due to layoffs, I went into the Petro-Chemical Industry building flare systems for offshore oil rigs, fracking flares, and combustion systems that burned any kind of waste. After 12 years in that, I finally found the job I have loved the most and have been in it for 10 years now. I build Electrical Control Systems that operate amusement rides all over the world. I love the job as it gives so many pleasure who love Roller Coasters. I am good at commercial and industrial electrical work too as I studied the NEC and was kind of the onsite electrician at 2 of my jobs. I ran a complete welding shop while in Petro-Chemical and the shop for amusement rides, I did the wiring for work benches, a mill, and bandsaw in both shops I have been in. And did most of the upgrades in the house in ceiling fans, dusk to dawn outside lighting, outlets, and numerous other add-ons. I love controls though as I love to build things that make something run like big lift motors that take the ride up the hill, alot of sensors, pneumatic brake panels and other controls involved in running a roller coaster.
