About Mike Averhoff

After years in leadership roles from managing FedEx operations to leading ER admitting I’ve found my calling in the clinical laboratory. I’m currently completing my MLT certification (graduating July 2025) and working as a lab assistant, gaining hands on experience in microbiology, hematology, urinalysis, and clinical chemistry. The more I learn, the more I realize how vital lab work is to patient care and how much I enjoy being part of that process. My path wasn’t traditional, but every step taught me something valuable. At FedEx, I learned how to lead teams, manage complex operations, and keep things moving under pressure. In the ER, I saw how healthcare works from the front line and just how critical fast, accurate lab results can be. Now, I’m ready to bring that experience into the lab full time. I care about doing quality work, learning constantly, and being someone the team can count on.
