Mr. Butts has a very diversified employment history. Starting off, he has about 2 years as an Electrician’s Apprentice, gaining hands-on experience within all areas of industrial, commercial, and residential electrical projects. Furthered his knowledge of structure construction, he worked as a Cement Truck Operator for 3 years, learning various building and foundation techniques. Diversifying his knowledge Mr. Butts worked as a Communications Technician for 8 years, training and received certification in the installation and troubleshooting of both home and business video, phone, and internet services and configurations. After obtaining his Associates degree in Drafting & Design technology, Mr. Butts secured almost 2 years’ experience as a shipbuilding electrical designer, working on such projects as the US Navy’s LPD 28-30 projects, in both 2D and 3D computer environments. Mr. Butts, worked for 2 months as a Senior Electrical Designer using such programs as AutoCAD MEP and Revit, to complete electrical designs, in the private commercial electrical engineering sector, on such projects as hospital floor additions and whole hospital electrical designs. Currently though, Mr. Butts has returned to the shipbuilding industry as an Sr. Electrical Designer, where he currently works on the FFG, LCS, MUSV, MMSC programs.
