With over 26 years of experience in labour relations, unionized environments, and law enforcement, I am a seasoned and skilled leader who can navigate complex and challenging situations. As the former Vice President Administration/Finance at Calgary Police Association, I oversaw the financial and administrative operations of a large and diverse organization, managing budgets, contracts, policies, and human resources. I also have extensive board experience in pension and benefit plan management, having served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Special Forces Pension Corporation and the President of the Municipal Employees Benefit Association of Calgary. I have completed multiple certifications and diplomas in this field, including the Master of Trust Management Standards from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. I am passionate about ensuring the financial security and well-being of employees and their families.
