Technical support of focused, fast paced engineering projects from development to installation. o Supported development of custom temperature control units, vacuum pumps, electrical interfaces, hardware, metrology, etc. • Using Lean methodology; developed and executed a scalable, modular process to assemble, install, and commission proprietary chemical vapor deposition vacuum chambers for a startup solar panel manufacturer. o 15 million dollar project completed on time against a very aggressive schedule. • Development of equipment maintenance requirements and support documentation, root cause failure analysis and coordination of equipment upgrades, modifications and fixturing. o Equipment run length increased from 12 hours to 8 days. • Designed manufacturing process layouts up to sq/ft using WCM principles. o Managed resources, equipment moves, installation, commissioning and support. • Led technical and manufacturing teams from 8 to 70 people in the continuous improvement of culture, quality, performance and process through World Class Manufacturing principles, Change Management, SPC, JIT, ISO, Customer Service, Project Planning and close interaction with cross functional teams. o Results: 50% reduction in cycle time, 20% increase in OTD and 1st pass yields. • Development, execution and continuous improvement of NPI, prototype, transfer and manufacturing processes.
