About Mike Boyd

Mike has over 30 years of experience in the trade show industry. Since joining GES in 2004, Mike has been the Senior Operations Manager and currently the Director of Operations for the West Region for GES in charge of all Installation & dismantling of their custom exhibit & events programs. Mike has extensive expertise in the management, estimating-budgeting, planning, installation and the day to day operation of all elements of large scale shows & projects. Prior to GES, Mike worked with other trade show industry contractors both domestically and internationally. Mike has also been responsible for designing, producing and technical directing for private events with the world's largest global Fiber Optic equipment provider during the millennium celebration that included producing a private event in Puerto Rico with host Jim Lovell of the famed Apollo 13. He spent 4 weeks in Macau, China during the opening of the new Venetian Resort and overseeing 'The 12th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), the country’s largest show during the resort's opening celebration. Mike manages a regional staff of Operation Managers and is responsible for 100’s of union employees working all around the West Region at any given time.
